Getting Started

Connecting to Twitch Chat

  1. Click on the gear icon below the “Enter chat message…” field. Twitch Chat Settings will display.
  2. In the “Channel Name” field, enter your Twitch channel name.
  3. From here, click on the Generate Token button.
  4. Click on the “Connect with Twitch” button.
  5. When prompted, sign into your Twitch account.
  6. Copy the Twitch chat token that is generated.
  7. Return to Swych, and paste this code into the “Chat Token” field.
  8. Click on the “Connect/Disconnect” button

Connecting with Twitter

  1. Click on the Twitter icon in the social media panel on the left side of the application.
  2. Click on the gear icon at the top right of the application.
  3. In the Twitter settings tab, click on the “Activate” button.
  4. When prompted, sign into your Twitter account.
  5. A Swych Broadcasting PIN code will be generated. Copy this PIN code.
  6. Paste the pin code into the newly opened Twitter PIN Authentication dialog and click “OK”.
  7. To display tweets from your home timeline, click on the “User Feed” toggle. This setting is disabled by default.
  8. To display tweets for a specific hash tag, enter the desired hash tag in the "Hashtag" field.

Connecting with Facebook

  1. Click on the Facebook icon in the social media panel on the left side of the application.
  2. Click on the gear icon at the top right of the application.
  3. In the Facebook settings tab, click on the “Activate” button.
  4. When prompted, sign into your Facebook account.
  5. To display posts from your profile page, click on the “User Feed” toggle. This setting is disabled by default.
  6. To display Facebook content from a specific page, enter the page id into the “Page-ID” field.

Connecting with Instagram

  1. Click on the Instagram icon in the social media panel on the left side of the application.
  2. Click on the gear icon at the top right of the application.
  3. In the Instagram settings tab, click on the “Activate” button.
  4. When prompted, sign into your Instagram account.
  5. To display media from your personal account, click on the “User Feed” toggle. This setting is disabled by default.
  6. To display Instagram content from a specific media tag, enter the media tag into the “Media Tag” field.

Customizing alerts

  • Custom GIF and Audio notifications can be selected by clicking within their respective fields under each Social integration. A file explorer will open, allowing you to select your desired file. To restore the default notifications, click on the “x” icon next to the respective fields.
  • Only the .gif file type is supported for the gif override setting.
  • The following audio file types are supported: .aif, .aiff, .fxm, .flv, .m3u8, .mp3, .mp4, .m4a, .m4v, and .wav

Setting up your broadcaster

Swych supports all broadcaster tools, but for the purpose of this guide OBS will be used.

  1. Boot up Swych.
  2. Open your broadcasting software.
  3. Create a new "Window Capture Source".
  4. Select the "Swych Alert Window"
  5. Position this window where you would like GIF's to display.
  6. Right click on the "Swych Alert Window" and select "Filters".
  7. Select the "Chroma Key" filter.
  8. Create a new "Window Capture Source".
  9. Select the "Interactions Window".
  10. Position this window where you would like Feature Cards to display.
  11. Resize the card as you see fit.
  12. Right click on the "Interactions Window" and select "Filters".
  13. Select the "Chroma Key" filter.
  14. Swych is now ready to display on your broadcast!
